About: Guitarist, bandleader and composer, Sam Wilson is finding her place in the Halifax jazz scene. She’s a frequent performer at Compass Distillery, Mappatura Bistro, and is set to release her first full-length recording, Groundless Apprehensions in April 2019.

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Music with Honours in Jazz from St.FX. In 2017, she released her first solo EP, Into a Heart- an experimental solo electric guitar recording. Wilson has played Open Waters Festival, Halifax Jazz Fest, and this August will be attending Ottawa's 21st Century Guitar Conference.

Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Sam Wilson now lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she hopes to inspire more women instrumentalists to pursue their passion as she anchors herself as a creative force in the East Coast music scene.
